New Orleans is the place for the start of the NCAA open evaluation period. The Southern Slam is the nation's premier summer hoops tournament in the nation’s most entertaining city.
The Southern Slam is a 3 day tournament with a 3 game guarantee with single elimination playoffs based on rankings from pool play.
The Southern Slam is an exciting experience with top tier participants from across the nation.

Tourney Registration
2014 tournament registration will close on July14, 2015. The tournament is set for Jul 16-19, 2015 and will be held at Alario Center, Xavier University, and Crescent City Christian School.
To complete Registration all teams must complete the NCAA registration as well as the Team Registration on this site listed under the Southern Slam Tab. Please ensure that your team completes both processes.
All teams participating at an NCAA certified summer event must register online PRIOR to reporting to participate in the event. Coaches are expected to keep their online rosters updated. The same address and telephone number cannot be used for multiple athletes. Failure to register or to submit all required information will result in the team being denied participation in all NCAA certified summer events. To complete your Roster click here.
Coaches must be officially certified through the NCAA to coach in the summer tournament. Regardless of circumstances, coaches will NOT be allowed to coach without proof of certification. The certification process can be completed HERE.
Directions: Please select •First Advantage (formerly LexisNexis) Application - Coach/Operator Background Check to begin the process.
It may take up to thirty days to obtain coaches approval from the NCAA, so please plan accordingly.
